There may not be a review next weekend. My back decided to go funky this week, and as it stands I didn’t even go to work today. So I might not be up to getting my comics tomorrow. However, if I were to get my comics, here’s what would be there.
Transformers: Defiance #3 [IDW]
By Chris Mowry (and we can assume a bunch of other guys)
Like I’ve said before, I’m a sheep when it comes to Transformers comics, and I do like pre-war stories. I’m also curious to see how much of this ends up in the movie coming out in June. On the other hand, I’m not sure I’m into the Megatron-as-willing(-or-mindslaved-)servant origin.
The Phantom: Ghost Who Walks #1 [Moonstone]
by Mike Bullock, David Micheline & Silvestre Szilagyi Cover by Sy Barry
This was supposed to come out a couple weeks ago, and again we have the “unconfirmed” disclaimer, and it’s not on the Diamond shipping list. However, Greatest American Hero #2 is, so that might end up here..whenever I get to review this list’s comics. (Stupid back!)
Marvel Adventures: The Avengers #34 [Marvel]
Written by PAUL TOBIN Penciled by MATTEO LOLLI Cover by ROGER CRUZ
Check the preview in the link. Avengers teaming with the WW2 version of Nick Fury and his Howling Commandos. No Captain America in the team roll call, which might have made things smoother, but what kind of Marvel comic is that? Plus the return of MA Tigra!
So the question is whether or not I have a review this weekend. And I just checked next week’s list, and that’s a lot o’ titles to go through in three days without this week’s piled on. Tune in Sunday and see what I do with it. (I do have an alternative post if there’s no review.)
