Comic artist Frank Springer dies

While checking out this week’s Shortpacked, the comic I mentioned in Saturday’s post, David Willis (who I know through Transformer fancircles) posted that Frank Springer passed away. For Willis and myself, he’s most known for his work in Transformers comics for Marvel, including the first issue. Yet his work included the newspaper strips Terry and the Pirates and Rex Morgan, MD. He passed away at 79 from prostate cancer.
