The Baltimore Sun has an article about Stan Lee’s new production with Disney, Time Jumper.
“He’s a teenager who can travel in time through a device that he has called the Articulus. But it’s more than just time travel; it’s like James Bond. There are villains out to get him, and he’s on a mission. It’s the whole thing. Also, there’s an organization called CULT (Council of Unlawful, Loathsome Terrorists) after him.”
The series is set to be released simultaneously through numerous formats, including the Internet and cell phone (like smart phones, I-Phones, Blackberries, just not my outdated phone, but since I only use it for emergency phone calls and the occasional game of blackjack while I’m waiting at a restaurant, why should I care?), with plans including both a tradition and web comic. The web comic will have extra features, and Lee is hoping it could lead to a tv series.
{You know, there are some odd similarites to something I created years ago, but there are more than enough differences to Timewalker that I doubt Stan’s been through my old notebooks. Not that he needs to.}
The URL on the poster there diverts to a different site, a sort of virtual reality game based on the upcoming series. The site is a “recruitment site” for H.U.N.T Corporation, with an intro by CEO Lee Excelsior, not only a nod to Stan, but portrayed by him. There’s even a recruitment quiz you can take (oddly, I answered all the questions the same way, and it gave me three different results). After the intro, the site gets “hacked” (reminds me of the Tron 2.0 game site or the Sector Seven site for the first Transformers movie), and gains you access to a brief character list. Presumably, they’ll add to the site as it gets closer to the release, currently set near the end of summer. I’ll try and keep up to date.

[…] fight somebody. And he worked on other projects we’ve looked at over the years like Mighty 7, Time Jumper, Who Wants To Be A Superhero, and a bunch of others. Granted, one of them was Stripperella, but […]
