At least I’m not X-rated. 😀

While I was on my vacation (such as it was, the good one’s during my birthday week in July–this was more of a do stuff I haven’t done in the last two years between work and sickness…bloody Crohn and his disease!), I still kept an eye on the blog. It’s my new playtoy, after all. 🙂 So while checking my stats (to see if anyone knows I exist beyond Friday Nights and people looking for “Mary’s Boy Child” videos–which sadly was taken down), I saw one site came up a few times: X-Ray Studios, a LiveJournal page

The page doesn’t completely look like that. I just picked up a couple areas. Anway, I decided to check out where this was coming in from, as I like to know what’s being said behind my back. It turned out to be a list of reviews of Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade #5, which as you know, is the series I’m currently addicted to. So why list links only to this comic?

So many good Supergirl images, so little article.

The most fun teenager ever! Suck it, Archie!

Because X-Ray Studios are Landry Walker and Eric Jones, aka my comic drug pushers! Yes, they have a LiveJournal account, and yes, they know of me! Mostly through the spoiler-blocked ComiXology reviews, but on this occasion, they sought out the Spotlight proper and linked here. How cool is that? First the guy behind ComiXology, then Tony “I make the awesome Doctor Who comics” Lee, then someone who might be related to someone on Solarman‘s creative team, and now this! I’m meeting all the cool kids!

Of course, no sooner have I gone all fanboy on them, that a further scan of the site told me they’re also responsible for another comic I enjoyed:

This is not a game...it's a comic!

That shows you what kind of attention I pay. I actually found the ending a bit confusing, but overall enjoyed the comic, when SLG actually got the darn things out. (Not sure who to blame for that, so I’ll give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I’m in a good mood today.) So head over there, give them some love, and some fodder to convince DC we want more of Kara’s cosmic adventures!
