Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the best cartoons Nickelodeon has put out (although I keep having trouble seeing the rest of the final season between poor airing and my hospitalization last year). Thanks to espanolbot at Daily Scans (the artists formerly known as scans_daily), I found out Slashfilm (or /Film) has early pictures from the live-action movie being made by M. Night Shyamalan.
Personally, I’d rather have an animated movie, and due to Hollywood’s poor track record with media conversion (anyone remember Masters of the Universe? Ever seen a video game movie?), plus given M.’s usual style of movies (he’s been parodyed for his addiction to “twist” endings), I really don’t have high hopes for Ang and his friends.
