What, you never read the comic my friend and I did on lined paper? Maybe because we never printed it. 🙂 Yeah, I felt like showing off an enhanced version of the logo I created for a comic during the time when we in the US saw nothing in the way of new Doctor Who stories. (The original looked worse than this, trust me.) Since the question mark was rather prominent on later Doctor wardrobes, I thought “why not use that as the basis for a logo”? Also, it let me put the “Doctor” more in focus than the “Who” part of the name, since the character was called “the Doctor” after all. Sure, I’m bias, but I still like the concept.
Since there was no 8th Doctor at the time, I created my own, complete with his own outfit. My friend created a companion, a Native American who avoided the “Trail of Tears” by joining the TARDIS along with the Doctor and K-9 (because I really like K-9, and another comic told the story about K-9 Mark 2’s journey out of the “Warriors Gate” and searching for the Doctor). His hope was to find something that would benefit his people. I wrote it. He drew it. You’ll probably never see it.
