So, once again we have another of these fights. I must wonder why you pathetic flesh creatures refuse to accept the call to vote, but my patience, as well as my time this week, is short. Luckily, so is tonight’s entry in Spacebooger’s attempt to keep me from the competition.

And even I must admit a certain bit of logic in tonight’s proceeding. These “G-Force” members (who bear no connection to the rather infantile guinea pigs of a recent film) are trained rather well for battle. ShadowWing has been going through his copies of the comic book version of Battle of the Planets, partly because he plans a two part review of the crossover with another animated icon, Thundercats. Also, he enjoys this series, and even plans another entry from this series for a later round. Tonight, we learn the price of sloppy workmanship on the part of a captor.

Part 5 of 12

The Battlefield: Battle of the Planets #9 (Top Cow; May 2003)

The Promoters: Munier Sharrieff (writer), Wilson Tortosa (penciler), Shane Law, Angelo Tsang, Calvin Lo, & Jamie Noguchi (colorists), Robin Spehar, Dennis Heisler, & Martin Barnes (letterers), and Alex Ross (art director)

The requirement of so many working on this project astounds me, but one cannot argue with the results. The situation has the white-garbed leader of G-Force, Mark, in the clutches of his enemy, Zoltar of Spectra. He is chained to the wall or from the ceiling, with more chains holding his legs tight. However, using the caption from the panel below, we see why this was a foolish move against an accomplished warrior!

From the clues left behind, I'm thinking reverse drag queen, actually.

I will admit a bit of surprise to see logic added to brute force. Perhaps there is hope for your primitive form of life after all. But unless you add your vote to the Feet of Fury competition, I may have to reassess that.
