The first “official” Jake and Leon open for “This Week’s Reviews”.
I plan on trying a few different inking tools before settling on the final pen. The preview comic of the previous week was done with a Faber-Castell brush pen, but I didn’t really try as hard as I could have to keep the lines right (and I picked up a lighter shade by mistake–more gray than black), so I may try that one again. This week’s was done with a Sakura Pigma Micron pen, and so far it’s the winner for this style.
The wall was done using a texture in Paint Shop Pro (where I do my computer coloring), because it was easier for me and I didn’t want to just have a blank wall. I may have actual backgrounds now and then, depending on what that week’s haul inspires out of me and the available time to work on it.
