No hives. No swelled face. No lack of appetite. Still a nagging cough, but I’m feeling up to posting again. (With two weeks until I turn it over to Christmas filler.) Before I begin my rambling like a loon, here’s a bit of a “programming note”:
-Item: I missed two weeks of comic reviews. I’m trying to decide if I’m going to do one super-big review, review the other two weeks in separate posts, or just let the two weeks go by and focus on the new week. The problem is that while you don’t need me to tell you Landry Walker’s writing was its usual form of awesome, his linking to my reviews of his stuff is a big part of what I laughingly call “promotion” for the Spotlight. (Because let’s face it: promotion isn’t one of my strong suits. Guess I make a lousy whore. 😆 )
-Item: Speaking of promotion: although I didn’t make the final round of the Friday Night Fights, I still plan to post the entry I had in mind. After all, I sat on the darn thing for 12 weeks instead of the usual mad scramble for anything that maybe might fit the theme in question. I’ll also clue you all in as to how I WOULD have concluded the Shockwave narrative of “Feet of Fury”, had I not been knocked down.
-Item: And speaking of the Friday Night Fights: I actually did make the Grand Championship in Round 2, and although I’m sure my Round 12 entry would have put some damage in the competition, I can still be proud of that. Voting will be taking place until Friday at 4PM Eastern time, so look through the entries and put your vote in the commentary. (And if said vote happens to be the one where Spider-Man and Batman take on Carnage and the Joker, definitely vote. 😀 )
-Item: For some reason, the Comic Space server doesn’t want me on there, and customer support has responded to me, either. Instead of waiting for the activation e-mail to finally show up (I hit “resend” enough times, although I don’t think it ever sent it), I went and got meself a deviantART account instead. You can find me at http://shadowwingtronix.deviantart.com. Now I just need something to put up there. 🙂
-Item: I’m putting together a nice little project for this year’s Christmas posting, but I still need some stuff for the Christmas Spotlight for this year. Find me some good links and hit my contact page (because if you put them in the comments, people could just go through there and there would be no need for a post) to send them to me. Hopefully I can still get something good out of it.
And with my Christmas decorations all up and looking pretty, it’s back to business as usual. At least until the Christmas rush hits at work in a couple weeks. Pray for me.
