This is the from original cartoon (aka The Alvin Show). “The Chipmunk Song”, also called “Christmas Don’t Be Late”, was one of the two songs that made David Seville (the stage name for creator Ross Bagdasarian) and his Chipmunks famous.

You don’t get novelty songs on the radio much these days. That’s a shame. The Chipmunks, like any other famous music group these days, have their own official website.
