One would think that one of, if not the hardest video games on Earth would be something I’d rather not play. Yet for some sadistic reason, I love playing Ninja Gaiden on the old Nintendo Entertainment System. It actually is a good game, even though it’s TRYING to be sadistic as heck.

Seeming to join my opinion–and the paradox with it–is the infamous Angry Video Game Nerd. Today he not only tackled the nightmare game, but gave me something quick to post so I can get ready for Saturday (weather permitting), when I’m off to meet his nemesis, the Nostalgia Critic, and then to work on Sunday. So thanks, James!

Warning: The f-bomb is dropped like he found Osama bin Laden’s hidey-hole, and there are a few other curses, too. He is “angry” after all. 🙂

Vodpod videos no longer available.

I hear that the new version is even harder, and gorier. Remind me never to play it. At least he got farther than I ever did. You can catch more of the AVGN and other works at Cinemassacre. In addition to his other review series, like Board James, where he reviews board games with a more relaxed tone, or his movie reviews for Spike TV’s website, he’s also a budding horror director. (Not into horror.) You can also get your AVGN fix through merchandise and DVDs at his web store, so if you like this, give it a look.
