For the record I like Kool-Aid.

Every time a political pundit mentions “drinking the Kool-Aid” to describe who will believe anything, my inner child cries. Not much in the behind the scenes, except how Jerzy Drozd unknowingly influenced a trick in panel 1. So let’s get to the news, which is short again, because my work time has increased. (Bigger paycheck. Yay, money!)

comics

television/movies

  • Looks like we’re finally getting some backstory in the Transformers Movieverse. So what was the point of Revenge of the Fallen again?
  • A faux pas will keep one of The Hurt Locker producers from attending the Oscars. My cynical mind connected it to this Big Hollywood piece about James Cameron’s ego when it comes to going up against his ex-wife.
  • If you’re like me, and waited for a full-season box set of Iron Man: Armored Adventures, our wait will soon pay off. Now I just need a full season of Batman: The Brave and the Bold and, unlikely as it may be, various Power Rangers seasons.
  • Even better news: Max Headroom on DVD!
  • How NBC messed up the end to the Winter Olympics to push Jerry Seindfeld’s new sitcom.

video games

  • A disabled gamer lost a law suit I don’t understand. But that’s the legal system for you.

in other news

  • Nominees have been listed for an awards event centered on web shows.
  • This Week’s Cracked: Marvel Comics vs. Science> Stan Lee himself has said that he didn’t know a lot about science when creating hero origins. Here’s some evidence of that.

Best Comic Scene of This Week

Every time I see badass Perceptor, I keep wondering if it’s the saddest thing ever or the best thing ever in the Transformers Multiverse.
