Two years ago, Shockwave had his head restored by Overlord in favor of removing a tactical blindspot programmed into him by Megatron, like all “phase 6” Decepticons. Today, the Wreckers are hunted down by Overlord and his forces. One of the Wreckers is killed and others are taken prisoner, with one being tortured, but the Wreckers are determined to make their rescue.

What they got right: I see Guidi’s influence in the art, as Roche’s usually too thin character models aren’t as in evidence here. Although we’re getting close to being too dark for my taste, the story still intrigues me.

What they got wrong: Can we please stay in the present for the rest of the story. These flashback-and forth bits are getting irritating. And when the heck did Overlord recover Shockwave from the Earth, and didn’t Skywatch restore Shockwave?

Recommendation: I will admit to getting a bit concerned, but it’s still a pretty good story. Give it a look.

You would be the only one, Rotorstorm.
