The powers of the original Power Rangers team were based on dinosaurs, but although their original Zords resembled them, they never had a chance to meet them. At least on the show. In the comics, they did get to meet a T-Rex face to face. Luckily, they had the Thunderzords at the time, or that might have been a strange situation. Well, strange for the Power Rangers, but not for a few of the odder fanfic writers out there. Spacebooger knows what I mean, and is as freaked out by it as I am.
