Batman created by Bob Kane

After helping the Teen Titans deal with Nocturna, Batman heads to Paradise Island to aid Wonder Woman in tracking down Egghead. To find him, the duo must track down a series of egg artifacts, which Egghead plans to use to awaken a dimensional being known as Y’ggphu Soggoth (who Batman calls “Egg-Fu“). But even if he goes down, are there more to deal with?

What they got right: Egg-Fu was a character created for the early Wonder Woman comics, but of the various versions that followed, this one actually makes the most sense. Teaming him with Egghead, an egg-obsessed villain created for the old live action Batman series (played by Vincent Price) and recently brought into the DCU Proper, was also inspired. We don’t get as many villain team-ups in this title as we do the the heroes.

What they got wrong: Hey, I actually have something here. In one of the panels during the Teen Titan open, either Green Arrow is standing next to Nocturna, or someone colored Speedy’s outfit wrong.

Recommendation: They have yet to make an issue of this comic I can’t recommend.

I believe Price himself had a similar response once he realised he was on The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo.

Ah wait… there’s even more to the “What they got wrong” section. Nocturna is the wrong color as well. She should be very pale.

I didn’t even notice that, but then I never heard of her until this comic (not being able to read about any of her appearances). It was in the DC Database profile I linked to, as well, but it didn’t mean anything to me when I read the issue at the time so I didn’t think of it. Thanks.
