I’ve mentioned in the past that I wanted to expand the cast. So Max returns to become the second recurring character, and the first one from the strip itself. And yes, Black Sentry is supposed to represent bad gimmicks. As usual, click on the comic for more on the new guy.
I’m late tonight because of allergy issues all blasted week, and because I went with my friends to see Iron Man 2 today now that it’s cleared up. Long story short: great movie. I’ll have a review later this week. But for now, a little bit of news. Short list, so no categorizing.
- That Guy With The Glasses.com just unleashed their epic Kickassia upon the world. One word: epic. Also check out this year’s crossovers.
- Matthew Johnson of Mighty God King sees another nail in comic’s coffin. But he may have a solution, too.
- Starship Farragut has fully released the second episode of their animated version, “The Needs of the Many”, guest-starring Chris Doohan, the son of the late James “Scotty” Doohan. Also featuring Filmation’s Lou Scheimer, which is important because the animated version is based on the Filmation Star Trek style. It’s a good episode.
- 14 Actors Who Were Almost Superheroes isn’t this week’s Cracked, but it’s an interesting list from Screen Rant. Imagine that we could have had Tom Cruise as Iron Man. That wouldn’t have ended well.
- Remember the Arnold Schwarzenneger movie Commando? Imagine if they gave it a real world spin? Sadly, we won’t have to for long.
- Speaking of which, here is an interesting way to view the movie. That Guy’s “Angry Joe” had the opportunity to record the showing, where people were given cap guns and are rewarded with a pyrotechnic extravaganza.
- Transformers 3 will be sans Mikaela, as Megan Fox won’t be returning.
- Captain America may not actually be FILMED in America.
- Iron Man comic contributors David Michelinie and Len Kaminski discuss seeing War Machine on the big screen.
- A mother in Utah may have a legit issue with a copy of DC’s The Spectre in the kids section of the library.
- DC Comics is dropping their manga line.
- Do movie video games have to suck as bad as they do? This guy says no.
- James Hudnall puts a famous comic scene in its place.
- The full line-up of the Discovery/Hasbro network “The Hub” has been released, including some previously unannounced shows.
- Video game distributor Capcom has had it with US produced IPs.
- This Week’s Cracked: 7 Celebrities Who Had Badass Careers You Didn’t Know About. Actually, I did know about Ebert’s, which always concerned me.
Best Scene of the Week
Transformers: Ironhide #1

And now we’re done. (Seriously, I don’t have any decent tag lines lately. Isn’t that how Jake & Leon got started here?)

Capcom needs to make a decent 2-D Strider sequel. That or Forgotten Worlds II. None of this download crap either, gimme a hard copy with some cool box art.
