Marvel Adventures: Super Heroes #3 (vol. 2)
Marvel Comics (August 2010)

When Vision and Black Widow decide to hang out, they are approached by a woman being blackmailed by supervillains Diamondhead and the Owl. The duo agree to help, but when Nova finds out they’re fighting Diamonhead (one of his foes) he rushes in to help in the final fight. The villains are defeated and the woman makes friends with the Vision.
What they got right: Take everything I’ve said positive about the first two issues and put them here. The art is great, I like the extra stuff happening in the background, and the Vision deciding on a “normal” name, Victor Shade (I like it), is a nice subplot. I love Tobin’s Vision almost as much as his Spider-Man.
What they got wrong: Once again, the cover claims to feature a character who gets very little panel time, and it’s only to be sorrowfully jealous when Sue tells Reed that he has no reason to himself be jealous when Namor calls her, a sub-subplot that bothers me to no end. (Seriously, Sue and Steve? Really, Tobin?) Since that’s all the characters with movies coming out, I’m hoping this changes next issue.
Recommendation: Burned out by the “heroes” of 616, True Believers? Then believe that this is the better alternative.
