This was the final chapter of the astronaut stuck on the abandoned Earth and the friendship he developed with Wall-E trying to get back into space to catch up with the ships. It was a good story.

Actually, they’ve all been good stories, with good art. My problem has been that stories set in this time period are not exciting enough to me to be worth a full-length comic, much less multiple-issue arcs. Now a story set after the movie, as the Earthlings re-adjust to life on a planet, and the adventures Wall-E and his friends can get into is something I’d like to see.

The other Wall-E-type robots are shut down, so I can tell him apart from the others. There’s the possibility of dialog and new adventures. None of other comics took more than a couple minutes to read. Stuff happens too fast, and just seems like a waste of the area. Now if it were a set of stories, or a 1-5 page backup of the post-movie stories, it might work better. There’s not enough drama or situations that you can put the one active character through without inventing robots like Bull-E.

I personally see nothing wrong with the comic, but if there are new issues coming out, it’s probably better for huge fans of the movie or kids. For me personally it’s not worth price and my comic budget is rather tight at the moment. I do wish it and the team good luck on it and I will keep an eye out for post-movie stories.
