Gonzo returns from a vacation in Transylvania and begins acting strange. Well, strange for Gonzo. Enough so that some of the others think he may have become a vampire.
Skits include garbage men vs. a giant bat, the Swedish Chef, a skit with Gonzo and Camilla, Veterinarian’s Hospital, and “Link Hogthrob, Monster Smasher”.
What they got right: Like I say every issue, Roger knows how to write these characters, making them speak and act like our favorite Muppets. Replacing “Pigs in Spaaaaaace” for this story but keeping Piggy and Strangepork (who seldom does anything other than Pigs in Space) was good and I wouldn’t mind seeing more of this sketch in future issues.
What they got wrong: I miss Amy Mebberson on this title. Nothing against Roger’s art (except for what I’ve mentioned before) but she really knows how to draw Muppets. Also, I think this story should have been saved for Halloween.
Recommendation: Same as usual; get it, buy it, love it.

Admittedly, not a strong moment, but I liked it.
Am I just that biased in Gonzo’s favor?
