Batman: The Brave & The Bold #22
Now is this the final issue? I thought the previous issue was. Not that it matters since they’re just going to reboot it next month.
WRITER: J. Torres ARTIST: Andy Suriano COLORS: Heroic Age LETTERER: Travis Lanham ASSISTANT EDITORS: Harvey Richards & Chynna Clugston Flores EDITORS: Michael Siglain & Scott Peterson COVER: Andy Suriano & Hi-Fi
After Cave Carson accidentally crashes the Batcave, Batman heads to Atlantis, where Ocean Master has taken control of the city. Together, the heroes defeat the villain and save Atlantis.
What they got right: J. Torres returns to write the final issue, and it’s a good story, in keeping with the show and fun. The art doesn’t match the show, but the effort is there.
What they got wrong: I don’t understand why they have to reboot the numbering and change the title to All New Batman: The Brave & The Bold. That’s a bit of an unnecessary mouthful.
Recommendation: While I still prefer Landry and Eric’s run, it was nice to see J. Torres back in action on the series and worth picking up.
Tomorrow’s Comic> Billy Batson & The Magic of Shazam! #21

You know what I love about this series? The sheer amount of obscure pulp heroes who show up in these stories.
I mean, “Cave Carson”, really?
