Dr. Nega, an alternate universe version of Dr. Eggman/Robotnik, loses a capsule in “Mobius Prime”. Later, Amy’s tour of the base for Vanilla, Cream, and Cheese is interrupted because Nicole has found a strange energy signal. Amy goes to investigate with Cream and Cheese tagging along. Along the way they come upon Blaze the Cat, who has tracked a Sol Emerald to this zone, and Rouge the Bat, who wants it to the point of calling in Shadow and Omega.
What they got right: Cream the Rabbit and Cheese the Chao are official characters in the Sonic games universe, so it’s only right to put her in the official comics (which often adapt new games into their narrative). I know there will be people who don’t like her, but I find her cute and fun to watch.
What they got wrong: I really don’t have any complaints.
Recommendation: An interesting storyline starting up, and a good way to introduce the little rabbit and her Chao friend into continuity. If you’re one of the fans who likes Cream, this is a good comic for you.
For me, Cream has just justified her place in this comic.
