Filler Video: Bambi Meets Godzilla

I decided today to get some serious work done on that Godzilla video review project I’ve mentioned before. I hope to have it up just after Christmas. (Because next week it’s all Christmas postings, so if your taking part in the Christmas Spotlight–which nobody has sent me anything for–get it in now.)

In the meantime, I though I would present a video that maybe two people on planet Earth have yet to see. Bambi Meets Godzilla.

I tried using a YouTube posting, but apparently Sony has the rights to the William Tell Overture. Who knew? You’ll have to click over to YouTube.

Marv Newland’s student film has gone on to be a cult classic despite its short length. It was even featured on the original VHS release of Godzilla 1985, the movie that rebooted the Godzilla timeline so that everything after the original movie never happened. If you look up “Bambi Meets Godzilla” or “Bambi Vs. Godzilla” on YouTube, you will find many remakes, sequels, and re-imaginings, but sometimes you can’t outdo the original.

My review of Godzilla Vs. Ghidorah…will not be so epic. Then again, I’m a newbie with a cheap camera. 🙂
