There’s not a lot to recap here. The Avengers learn that Reed has been behind some of the shenanigans. His reason is that he has observed the future and he pulled these stunts in order to save Sue from dying as he saw in those timelines. Reed keeps them at bay long enough for time to reset and put things back to…no idea.
I’m breaking format in order to ask a favor of Paul Tobin: STOP DOING TIME TRAVEL-BASED STORIES! Between Marvel Adventures: The Avengers and this title, the only stories I’ve really hated from his runs have centered around time travel as a theme. This story makes no sense, even if you decide that Reed is supersmart enough to watch other timelines and has the morality to be the Doctor. None of it makes sense to me and I’ve read it more than once. How does time “reset” like this? And we get a teaser to the next arc, and it involves Black Widow and Nova…somehow.
It doesn’t feel right to recommend avoiding a Tobin-penned story, but if it involves time travel, just avoid it. That includes this one.
