I spent so long trying to figure out how to work this week’s Jake & Leon that I ended up not having time to make it (well, there were other factors, too). And it’s not even that good. I am terrible with time management. I also didn’t get to make a Clutter Report because I had some cleaning to do…namely taking down my Christmas decorations!
Seriously, it took me this long, partly because that Godzilla video review has them in the background and I didn’t want to screw up the visual, but since most of my filming is done, I said the heck with it, just shoot the closing from a different angle. Again, I don’t know how it takes these video reviewers a week to do a video. Then again, most of them don’t write two articles a day and draw a comic strip when they’re not working.
This is also going to be a short Wrap-Up, partly because of last Monday’s “Getting Caught Up”. But at least I don’t have as big a back-up in my inbox. Still, I did manage to find some stuff for this week, so let’s get to it.
comics
- I actually don’t have any comics news this week.
television/movies
- I almost wish I saw the Golden Globes after seeing the host take on Hollywood’s elite. And he just thought he was making comedy, being a comedian and all.
- What is the state of science fiction on television?
video games
- We have a launch date and price for the Nintendo 3DS. It will retail for $249.99 and they’ll be seen stateside starting on March 27th.
- Want to see what it looks like inside a 3DS?
- Kotaku goes hands-on with the 3DS version of Super Street Fighter 4 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
- And from Nintendo in general, why they won’t be adding in-game achievements.
- In non-Nintendo news, Disney shuts down Propaganda Games.
- A computer game museum in Berlin, Germany.
- Generally speaking I don’t care about Duke Nukem, but even I’m amazed that the game is finally coming out. And we have a release date.
in other news
- Remember when I posted the entirety of Atop The Fourth Wall‘s “Mechakara” arc (mostly in list form)? Well, he has added a page with the entire AT4W storyline thus far. (Warning: a lot of videos instead of links.)
- Folks, regardless of the target (in this case, wild pigs) you can not allow people to shoot guns remotely over the internet. I’m filing this under “things you should know better about before you did them” “moron”.
- This Week’s Cracked: It’s called The 8 Most Awkward Sexual Moments in Comic Book History. That pretty much says it all.
Best Scene of This Week’s Reviews
All-New Batman: The Brave & The Bold #3

Beware the Jabberwock, my son, and his beanie.
Tomorrow’s Comic> Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock vol 2 #1
Meanwhile, I hope to have a comic for next week and some comic news. But at least all my Christmas decorations are finally put away. Oh, and I picked up a movie serial on DVD, Batman & Robin. Expect a review soon.
