Clicking on today’s comic will tell you why tonight’s article is late and while I’m disappointed in the final result. Now let’s get to the news thing.
comics
- Will Dark Horse have words with Marvel over “Mystery Men?”
- A look at celebrities in comic books.
- Attempting to use digital comics to get people to visit their local comic store. (h/t Comics Are Great)
television/movies
- IO9 gives their list of 10 Greatest Starships.
- A look at all the upcoming sci-fi and fantasy series coming out. Some of them sound good, some are rehashes, and one is Edgar Allan Poe as a detective.
- Worried that David Kelley can’t do a proper Wonder Woman? Maybe you should be.
- A look at the trailer for the next X-Men movie.
- An interesting comparison (in video review form) of the Jurassic Park book and movie.
- The next attempt by the MPAA to fight movie piracy? Attack Google!
video games
- At least one band knows how to tour with their video games. It’s rather clever.
- A case for Donkey Kong Country Returns‘s “little helper“.
- DC is preparing a comic that bridges the gap between the Arkham Asylum game and the upcoming sequel.
in other news
- Ever wonder where “survival of the fittest” came from? Thank (or blame) Herbert Spencer.
- It’s art, but with figurines.
- Adding to my list of why the human race should never develop time travel: screwing with patent laws.
- The Clutter Reports: Two bits of news. First, this week’s articles shows how to make drawer dividers out of cardboard boxes. It may not sound like much, but it works and can be free. The other is that my weekend project got a mention by the website Guide To Art Schools for the action figure reviews I do (#7 of “Best of the Rest”). That’s quicker than BW started getting recommendations, and I do that every week. Can I be happy for one and disappointed about the other? 🙂
- This Week’s Cracked: Dr. Claw and Gargamel are just the more famous of this list of 7 Badass Cartoon Villains Who Lost to Retarded Heroes. (I don’t title ’em, I just link to ’em.) The others look pretty sad when you think about it too much. 🙂
Best Scene of This Week’s Reviews
Iron Man: Legacy #11

I seem to be ending up with more anthologies and less Best Scene nominees lately, don’t I?
Tomorrow’s Comic: All-New Batman: The Brave & The Bold #4 (“Tomorrow” being a suggestion lately. 😛 )
