Sonic the Hedgehog #222
Archie Comics (April 2011)
WRITER: Ian Flynn PENCILER: Steven Butler INKER: Terry Austin COLORIST: Matt Herms LETTERER: John E. Workman, Jr. COVER ART: Ben Bates EDITOR: Paul Kaminski
Sonic and Sally try to escape the recent craziness and go on a date. It’s not a perfect date, but the two seem to be bonding again. This doesn’t make Geoffrey St. John very happy, who is still working for Naugus. In the back-up, Knuckles confronts what’s left of his ancestor, Dimitri.
What they got right: I like Sonic and Sally back together. They make a great couple. Also, we get more T-Pup, if only a cameo. At least we know he’s not forgotten.
What they got wrong: Amy and Geoffrey confuse me. Amy saves Sonic and Sally’s date, but still goes all fangirl about how Sonic will be “hers”. And Geoffrey’s response to seeing Sonic and Sally together makes me wonder what DID happen with Hershey. I’m tired of love triangles and just want Sonic and Sally to be together without third parties butting in for once.
Recommendation: This is a good time to get into this series, because I’m assuming things will be hitting fans soon.

Hey look, a Best Scene nominee.
