Prime and Spike’s group finally catch up with Megatron as Brawn is forced to leave Starscream behind to tend to Thundercracker. Spike and the Autobots go to rescue their comrades from Megatron’s mind-controlled humans, with Jazz doing the unthinkable and Prime blasting Soundwave’s head off.

What they got right: Prime does something awesome this issue. The art is well done and Bumblebee is showing that he learned a lot from Optimus Prime, defusing the situation…

What they got wrong: …until Jazz screws it all up, leading me to again complain that with all the years of Transformers comic reading over the years I have HAD IT with Autobot/human conflicts. It’s supposed to be Autobots vs. Decepticons with humans either in the middle or on the Autobot side (most humans, anyway). This “humans hate the Autobots” stuff has been done and won’t go away. Here we had the perfect opportunity to resolve this and Costa has Jazz ruin it in one shot. Seriously, enough is enough!

Recommendation: Personal complaint aside it wasn’t a bad comic, and I do love watching Optimus and Megatron in a battle of wits. But seriously, can’t we end the “humans hate Autobots as much as Decepticons” garbage? Please?

Guess he won't have to worry about the voice for a while.

Up Next: Another “Yesterday’s Comic” review tomorrow and “Best Scene of the Week” in Sunday’s Weekly Wrap-Up with Jake & Leon.
