None of the bomb puns I could come up with worked. You're welcome.

Darkwing Duck #10

BOOM! Studios (March 2011)

WRITER: Ian Brill
ARTIST: James Silvani
COLORIST: Lisa Moore
LETTERER: Deron Bennett
EDITOR: Christopher Burns
COVER “A”: James Silvani
COVER “B” (shown)/COVER “A” COLORIST: Amy Mebberson

Stealbeak and Darkwing are joined by Femme Appeal, another FOWL agent who isn’t happy about calling forth Duckthulu. Already his summoning is having bad effects in St. Canard. Gosalyn and Honker, as Quiverwing and Arrow Kid, infiltrate FOWL’s base, only to come across Ammonia Pine and the team of Hotshot and Flygirl. (Hey, I found a Darkwing Duck wiki. I could have used that 10 issues ago!)

What they got right: The cameos keep coming, but come right. All the FOWL agents are popping up, and we get a new one, Femme Appeal (sure to make “that” corner of the furry fandom go nuts and make the rest of the community wince–heck, I did a double take). Plus, Quiverwing Quack and Arrow Kid are back! Now give Fenton back the Gizmoduck suit and I’ll be all happy.

What they got wrong: You all know my love of Amy Mebberson’s art, and I do like her cover, but it’s just a static shot of Darkwing and Steelbeak. Cover A sells the story inside better and that’s what comic covers should do. Then again, I hate all this multiple cover junk anyway.

Recommendation: With 11 comics (10 issues and an annual), what have I told you? A must for every Darkwing fan and a recommendation to the rest of you who should be.

And to draw in the furry readers:
