Late article because it took longer than I thought. I’m sure you’ve heard that wrestling legend Macho Man Randy Savage was killed when his car hit a tree. Word is that he had a heart attack while driving. His wife, Lynn, was in the car with him but received minor injuries but was going to recover.
I wasn’t sure how to pay a proper tribute as I did with Captain Lou Albano. Savage, whose real name was Randal Poffo (his brother is pro wrestler Lanny Poffo), didn’t act in any major production, although he did the occasional voice acting gig. So I thought I would make a video tribute. Between crashing software and the time it took to find usable footage, it took longer than I thought, but here it is, for what its worth.
Not sure how good it is, and I hate to half#$$ a tribute but Savage was my second favorite wrestler (Hulk Hogan being #1 and Sting as #3) so I wanted to do something. Ride that lighting bolt all the way to Heaven, Macho Man.
