Rodimus, Wheelie, and Garnak end up on Cybertron. There they find the “cloned” Ironhide and the revived Sunstreaker (as seen in the Ironhide miniseries)…as well as Galvatron and the Sweeps!
What they got right: While it still bugs me that Costa went through the trouble of bringing back Ironhide (who was killed in issue #1–which he wrote!) and Sunstreaker (who received a proper demise) I do like that they’re finally being brought back into the fold. Also, Sunstreaker and Rodimus are both seeing redemption, so there some story potential there. It’s also cute that Sunstreaker has a pet Swarm; even named him.
What they got wrong: Spoiler for part of the end of Heart of Darkness, which hasn’t put out the last issue yet. And why is he hunting Autobots when he’s trying to put together a joint army?
Recommendation: It’s not saying much, but it’s one of the better stories in Costa’s run but outside of the setup for the upcoming “Chaos” story arc I’m not sure it’s worth grabbing if you aren’t a completest like me or have already been collecting the series.
