Sonic Universe #28
Archie Comics (July 2011)
WRITER: Ian Flynn PENCILER: Tracy Yardley INKER: Jim Amash COLORIST: Steve Downer LETTER: Phil Felix EDITOR: Paul Kaminski
There’s not much to describe here. Silver and Enerjak continue to pound the daylights out of each other. Just when Enerjak appears to be near victorious, Silver remembers a part of his teachings that finally gives him the upper hand, allowing Jani-Ca the power to restore her loved one. The story ends with a set-up for the next arc.
What they got right: This is all action from beginning to end. This means the art team had to bring their “A” game and brought it they did.
What they got wrong: Considering how this story arc worked there wasn’t a lot of space for character development, but that’s just fine.
Recommendation: The “Fractured Mirror” arc concludes on a high note. It was a fun read and I continue to enjoy this more than the main title.
