What is a hero’s greatest power? When the rings fail you, the gadgets run out of power, and the sun sets, what does the hero have to fall back on? Using their mind. But what about hope.

Wonder Woman returns from the last round, and Kyle Rayner should be glad. Events in the story that has nothing to do with Geoff Johns put him in such a depression that he has been drawn into a dimension of depression, ruled by a creature named Toxxis. Diana must give up her powers in order to go there and rescue Kyle. Does her reservoir of hope have no end or will it be their end?

With Kyle in despair and prisoner of Toxxis, Diana has come to his rescue, but he doesn’t even remember his former life. The rescue may have to wait, as Toxxis sends his Enforcers to stop the Amazon. But even without her powers, the Amazon princess is nobody to treat lightly.

It IS a damp, cold night. (music reference, guess the song)

Kyle doesn’t have his ring, either, but his fists still work.

Kyle always hogs the minions.

Our heroes fight on and attempt to reach Toxxis himself, but they seems to be having the strongest effect on the prisoners.

"That's for the lousy prison food!"

And it’s not long before they realize they too can fight back!

I sense a recall of the election.

Toxxis’ only chance is to send Kyle and Diana back to their world, hoping to take back control of his world and prisoners/food source. (He feeds on despair, not people.) It’s not a total victory, but it is still a victory.
