Granted I messed the collar up a bit (it should be a V-Neck cut) but I still don’t understand this look. In fact last week I was in the middle of putting together last week’s comic just as the latest Justice League image came out. I had to redo the punchline to fix it.
You may noticed a slight change in the RSS Feed list in the footer. Art & Story Extreme hasn’t updated since January. My guess is that they’re too busy with the main Art & Story, the “Supreme” side, and their own projects. (Because while they like talking about comic creating, they would rather be doing it.) So that’s no longer on the list although the main show feed (which includes updates from the shows they do over at the pay-side Supreme content) will still be up and running. Even if you’re not a comic creator, it’s a good show to learn how comics creators…create comics.
In it’s place, however, is another Jerzy Drozd podcast, Comics Are Great. Starting with episode 14, Drozd started producing the show in coordination with the Ann Arbor District Library of Ann Arbor, Michigan (who hosts many of his classes) and now includes a video component. This show has been more about promoting how comics can tell a story rather than the creative side, so it should be worth checking out.
Speaking of checking things out, Spacebooger, our Friday Night Fights host, is looking to expand his site with some others joining his team. He recently updated the look and will be adding more features, so consider joining in on a potential new comics reviewing empire. But enough news on this side, check out the regular news this week.
comics
- Someone at the DC FAQ messed up the creators’ list for the upcoming reboot comics. But someone caught them napping.
television/movies
- Whether you call yourself a furry or don’t even know what that means, this independent film in production looks every interesting. The community could use a positive marker, since some folks seem to think it’s just a sexual thing (it isn’t to most of them).
- The Game Show Reviewer takes a look at one of my favorite game shows, Press Your Luck. I learned a few things. WARNING: contains storyline. I know that’s an issue for some.
- If you wondered how sci-fi movies created some of those weird sound and musical effects even before today’s digital techniques, here you go.
- We have an airdate for the rebooted Thundercats.
video games
- The big news here is obvious: The Supreme Court struck down California’s law banning the sale of violent video games to minors due to being too strict. So how were comics involved?
- Activision promoted the latest Call of Duty game by allowing players to experience it in the real world. Only using paintballs instead of bullets. Dead fans don’t buy games.
- The creators of Farmville are working to go public. Not bad for a “casual game”, eh?
- A game for the Kinect you may not have heard of, but if your a fan of games like Flower, you should.
in other news
- The folks behind Alvin and the Chipmunks are suing the makers of a tribute album. Considering most, not all, of the Chipmunks songs are covers, how do you even do that?
- Making the case for going to Mars.
- The Clutter Reports: hold
- This Week’s Cracked: Racist Bugs Bunny cartoons and other films so disappointing to the celebs, comedians, and musicians that starred in it that they’ve gotten court orders to ban them. Meet the 10 Movies That Famous People Don’t Want You To See.

Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man V2 #15

"Well, if it's free..."
Only two comics qualified, but next week there will be 5. Should be a more interesting conversation.
