When we last left our heroes, the guy with the jetpack was trying to keep from crashing in a plane. Yeah, not to hard to figure out these cliffhangers. Now on to Chapter 6, “Mystery of the Rocket Man”! (For some reason the guy posting these isn’t even leaving chapter titles up anymore.)

Hey, an actual cliffhanger. Does he swim out? Did he wake up in the last moment and get out in time? Was he shot? Also, nice way to protect Rocket Man’s true identity. This is why I favor superheroes with allies who know their identities.

Speaking of chapter 6, this was an interesting tidbit from Wikipedia (although question the source): “King of the Rocket Men’s official release date is 8 June 1949, although this is actually the date the sixth chapter was made available to film exchanges.[1]” I wonder how that got screwed up?

Well, tune in next week to see if Jeff brought his water wings in chapter 7, “Molten Menace” at this website next week.
