I get it more on the archive page (just click on the comic) but I have to ask why everyone insists Barbara could easily go back to being Batgirl thanks to superscience and magic when A) Batman had to go through the healing process when Bane broke his back and B) didn’t Barbara retire Batgirl long BEFORE the Joker crippled her? Oracle serves a purpose in the DCU that nobody else can do, while Batgirl’s “job” was easily handled by both Cassandra and by Stephanie when she was still going by “The Spoiler” (which sound like the name of a villain from The Electric Company‘s Spidey stories, but I digress). What’s happening to her is character de-evolution, another victim of the Bad Fanfic Brigade and the backsliding timeline.
Anyway, the reason this is late tonight is that I went and saw Transformers: Dark of the Moon this afternoon. After I got home I had something to eat and was considering doing a V-Log instead of news, but decided to just do the V-Log or an article tomorrow. I will say that I thought it was a pretty good movie, better than the last Transformers movie, but it still wasn’t that great. I’ve heard it said it wasn’t as good as the first film, but I thought it actually was. I will note that the plot is a variation of the G1 episode “The Ultimate Doom” and that having Leonard Nimoy voicing one of your characters doesn’t mean that you can rip off Star Trek lines.
But enough of that noise, it’s time to see what else happened in the world, and I find it rather sad that most of the news I hear out of Comic-Con really doesn’t interest me, or is something we already heard anyway because DC loves getting mentioned in USA Today.

Godzilla: Gangsters & Goliaths #2

My work schedule has been changed, but I don’t know what effect that will have on the site. Just a heads up if posts aren’t made until I adjust.
