Saturday Night Serial: King of the Rocket Men Ch. 9

When we last saw Rocket Man he was flying head long into a spray of bullets. Is the suit bulletproof or is he just that lucky? Chapter 9 awaits us.

Maybe I need a logo or something. These intros are rather short for the homepage.

Darn you, Dr. Vulcan. Now your making the audio out of sync! At least the title made sense thanks to the end.

Here’s a tidbit about the financial history of the serial from Wikipedia: “King of the Rocket Men was budgeted at $164,984 although the final negative cost was $165,592 (a $608, or 0.4%, overspend). It was the most expensive Republic serial of 1949.^[1]” IMDB confirms the budget but sadly doesn’t say how much it made.

Next time, can our heroes escape the horrors of…a clip show? Or will they be trapped in “A Deadly Fog”? The answer next week.
