While doing this week’s “Yesterday’s Comics” I could easily find a usable fight that fits the “at least six months old”. Not surprising, since I’ve gone to this comic before and while the angels and demons in Archangels fight an invisible war, merely influencing humans by whispering in their ears, when angels and demons collide, watch the brimstone fly.

“Smokin’ Joe” round 8
The Battlefield: Archangels: The Saga (Eternal Publishing, August 1996)
The Promoters: Patrick Scott, Andy Orjuela, and John Leger (to see who did what, check out the review from this afternoon)
Justin, a boy Satan’s minions really want to get their hands on, is in a hospital bed, clinging to life. The demons want to pull his fingers from the ledge, but Doctor Cameron is in the house.

Heh, I see what he did there.
And in one of those sideways two-page spreads that irk Linkara so much (I did say in my reviews that the layouts make poor use of space, like most 90’s comics), Cameron takes on three foes.

If the stupid one always go first, we found our dunce cap bearer.
One down, two to go.

On the upside, he's in a hospital. On the downside, I don't think fallen angels have a good health plan.
And that just leaves one.

If I respond with "shocking", would people hurt me?
And that’s how they do thing UPtown.
You know the drill by now. Head to Spacebooger.com and vote for your favorite Friday Night Fighter by Monday night. (You don’t have to join the forums to vote, just to comment, so vote all you like.) And if you have a lot of good fights in your comic collection, feel free to join us.
