Seth talks Justin into going to a warehouse where Justin is attacked and given an injection by the bad guys. While a demon tries to convince Seth he did the right thing, Darius is able to break through and convince the boy to save his friend. The detectives also find the warehouse, just as a bomb goes off!
What they got right: Maybe it’s the long time between issues (the previous issue was cover dated November, 1996) but there are a lot of improvements in the layouts. The art is as good as it ever was and the characters have a bit more personality.
What they got wrong: The cover is bland as heck, and seeing how long it’s taken to get where it is, I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost a few readers by this point.
Recommendation: At this point things really have improved. Still, unless your ready to commit to all nine issues, you may not get the full experience. That’s going to be a bit difficult unless you can find a place that sells them or will just order the full set on their website. Still, it is worth checking out if you come across it.
