I had to sit through the Teletubbies intro to put this together. You can’t say I don’t suffer for my art. And by clicking on the comic, you can learn what I did with my suffering to get this done.
Starting tomorrow, BW Media Spotlight resumes normal operations, with a comic review in the afternoon and an article at night. (And hopefully my interview video as one of those articles.) I’m also back to work elsewhere.
- The Clutter Reports: I did get some cleaning done while I was out of power before it got too cold to stay at home. For four days. However, I didn’t have time this week to write about it. Instead I posted my review of Sean Wang’s Runners from a couple of years ago. Next week I’ll have something new.
- Reviewers Unknown: Retooling my “Tronix’ Ideas for IDW Godzilla” for a new audience, using the name “BW’s ‘Team Godzilla’ Idea” as the series name over there. So yes, I’m still plagiarizing myself. Part 1 is just an overview, but I’ve done a completely new intro and changed a few other things. Somehow the article just turned into a three-parter about how I would write a Godzilla series, which wasn’t my original intention but why not run with it?
By the way, just as BW Media Spotlight is celebrating it’s third year this week, Reviewers Unknown is celebrating its one-year anniversary as a group. There are V-Logs (and one article) by the membership about how they got into reviewing and onto the site. So you can check them out and see what people dared to include me among their ranks. (I’m sure Vegas is already running a pool about how long it takes them to wise up.) Since our anniversaries are around the same time, I may do one myself if I have time (although I’ve only been on a month or so), but Wednesday I have to put together my annual “best of the year” article and hopefully finish the interview I did at Classiconn this week, so I can get to MY next video review. We’ll have to see what time allows for.
- This Week’s Cracked: Kids are smarter and can handle more than writers and parent’s groups give them credit for. On the other hand, there are things like “9 Traumatizing Moments from Classic Kids Movies” that are maybe a bit too far. We all make mistakes, but geez, guys. Although with The NeverEnding Story being my favorite movie, I didn’t think that scene was all that bad compared to the others on the list.
So with two weeks worth of reviews, we have two “Best Scene of the Week” awards, just to give everyone a fair chance.
From “Today’s Comics” (aka last week’s comics)
Superman #2

From “Tonight’s Comics” (or this week’s haul)
Justice League International #3

You thought it would be the scene where Guy gets knocked out, did you?
So BW Media Spotlight is officially back in business. Monday night we’ll conclude the Fist Of Fury edition of Best of FNF, since I need to get to it before the new tournament this Friday. Hopefully I’ll be able complete it and not have another power fai………………………
