The first Cardboard Warfare was short and about the length of other VFX videos on YouTube, like Freddie Wong’s stuff. It was filler video quality as far as Spotlight postings go, but fillers tend to be good, but short, videos. Episode 1.5 is about the same, but traded a wartime scenario for a restaurant shoot-out between I’m guessing the mob and Asian drug smugglers.
Cardboard Warfare 2, while still a short story, has a lot more production value, story, and acting. It still follows the same rule of having all weapons being cardboard builds, with video effects used to make them act like real weapons. However, this is the only noticeable difference between humorous and a serious war tale.
Not all of “pwnisher” and CBE Films’s work involves cardboard and they don’t put out content as often as Freddie Wong or Digital Corridor/Sam & Neko, but when they do put something out it’s good stuff, so check it out.
