Rock is ready to retire “Mega Man”, but Dr. Wily isn’t done yet. He sends his newest Robot Master, Quick Man, to challenge Mega Man to a battle. Along the way, Mega deals with Wood Man and Bubble Man, but every time he initiates the weapon copy, something goes wrong, and a damaged Mega Man may not be ready for Quick Man.

What they got right: This arc features the second original Mega Man game and I like the way Quick Man, Wood Man, and Bubble Man are depicted in this issue. They’re good personalities. I also like that the writer isn’t afraid to add a subplot that isn’t in the game and I want to see where he goes with that.

What they got wrong: Is Auto supposed to be there already? While the Mega Man wiki says he might have been there prior to his first appearance in Mega Man 7 this still seems rather early.

Recommendation: This is the Mega Man comic I’ve been waiting for and thus far it hasn’t disappointed me. Very much recommended you get.

I couldn’t decide between two different scenes in this book, so I’m nominating them both.

I like the way Wood Man is introduced in this scene.

On the other hand, this was funny.
