The Evil Twins attempt to control Godzilla the way the are Battra and Rodan. Reviving him after his last battle by blowing up a nuclear plant, the Evil Twins learn that controlling Godzilla is beyond them…the hard way. The three monsters do battle and nobody may be coming out of this one alive.
What they got right: The three-way battle between Godzilla, Battra, and Rodan is great, even if I’m not impressed with the character models. I can’t even complain about the use of splash pages because of it.
What they got wrong: I had this feeling that the Evil Twins were connected to the appearance of the monsters, and anyone who has read my review of the previous writers knows that learning their story was something I really wanted to see, instead of the heavy-handed social commentary. Instead they’re just taken out of the series and that really bugs me. I wanted to know more about them and how they can control people and (most) monsters. Seems like a wasted plot point.
Recommendation: I’m curious to see where Ciamamella is going to take this series, even if he bypassed the Evil Twins. Hopefully he really hasn’t, though.

"Then again, maybe he isn't."
Kind of looks like he has, though.
