Does not happen this issue. Are they taking cues from Misadventures of Adam West?

Young Justice #12

DC Comics (March, 2012)

WRITER: Greg Weisman
GUEST ARTIST: Luciano Vecchio
COLORIST: Zac Atkinson
LETTERER: Dezi Sienty
COVER: Christopher Jones & Zac Atkinson
ASSISTANT EDITOR: Sarah Gaydos
EDITOR: Jim Chadwick

The origin of Clayface in this continuity. This version of Matt Hagan was a member of the League of Assassins as well as romantically linked to Talia…until he got on her bad side. Her attempt to kill him with the Lazarus Pit instead turned him into Clayface, which Ra’s tried to use against Batman. Now he’s loose and attacking Young Justice.

What they got right: A brief look into the inner workings of the League of Shadows and one would think that if this is how Talia treats her boyfriends Batman would be better off with Catwoman. The guest artist and regular colorist give the comic the closest in looks to the show in some time.

What they got wrong: The way the time skip goes all over. We go back, then back again, then back again, then forward a bit then forward some more…it’s a distracting way to follow events. Also, Aqualad flakes out for a moment thinking about his girlfriend. I guess this is meant to set the story before he learned she fell for someone else, but it seems pointless when the team has almost nothing to do with events.

Recommendation: This should have been an episode instead of a comic arc. Definitely recommended.

OK, so it partly happens, but only in the last panel of the comic!
