Two teams of Arctic explorers awaken two faction of anthropomorphic dinosaurs. One group, led by Zalex, plans to rule the galaxy. The other makes allies with the three humans, including a boy named Tyler and his dad, plan to stop them.
What they got right: As openers go, it’s fairly decent. It sets up the situation and lets you know who the good guys are and who the bad guys are.
What they got wrong: Only three characters are named; Zalek, Tyler, and Spike are the only ones whose names we know. And we know little about any of them other than “these are the villains, these are the heroes”.
Recommendation: Not a bad start, but all it did was make me curious. I’m not sold on the series yet, so we’ll see what happens in later issues whether or not I officially start picking this up.
