Battle of the Planets #11
Image/Top Cow (July, 2003)
“DESTROY ALL MONSTERS” part 1 of 2 WRITER: Munier Sharrieff PENCILER: Wilson Tortosa COLORISTS: Shane Law, Angelo Tsang, Calvin Lo, & Jamie Noguchi COVER ART/ART DIRECTOR: Alex Ross (a second cover is claimed by Pop Mhan & Stephanie Lesniak, but I can’t find it on my usual comic cover sites) LETTERERS: Robin Spehar, Dennis Heisler, & Martin Barnes ASSOCIATE EDITOR: Scott Tucker MANAGING EDITOR: Renae Geerlings EDITOR IN CHIEF: Jim McLauchlin
After a nightmare, Mark heads to Chief Anderson’s office as Jason angerly storms out. Then he hears that Anderson was shot at and through satellite footage learns it was Jason (seen in the Jason one-shot, reviewed yesterday). Chronus stumbles into a trap while hunting the escaped Spectra agent “source’ as Spectra itself unleashes another giant animal robot at the convention where Anderson is addressing the entire alliance, taking the Chief and President hostage!
What they got right: Reference is made to the Thundercats crossover (the good one), and the events of the Jason one-shot will play into the story.
What they got wrong: Not enough because the next issue is the last one for this storyline.
Recommendation: Same as usual.

I believe this should be the correct reading order with the Thundercats crossover after #10 and #11 after Jason’s one-shot and #12 of course at the end.
