With Peri attending a baseball game, the Doctor and Frobisher investigate a race that is sending their biological waste through time to ancient Earth, threatening not only Earth but the fabric of spacetime itself. Meanwhile, there’s a subplot about a ship of space cultists or something that later crashed into the planet.
What they got right: There’s a symbol that resembles the famous Star Trek symbol used for the space cult. That was pretty cute. The story itself was OK, nothing spectacular, and Frobisher’s “monomorphia” goes into remission long enough to allow him to turn into Godzilla.
What they got wrong: Which a colorist who works for IDW–you know, the people who currently produce Godzilla comics–colors red instead of the traditional green or the actual grey. Also, the genetic waste of another species started the human evolutionary process of the human race? I know I’m a creationist but that just sounds stupid and feels like more bashing the human race–by members of the human race!
Recommendation: I wouldn’t say avoid this story but it’s not really one to hunt down, either. It’s OK at best.
