Sonic The Hedgehog #236
Archie Comics (June, 2012)
“CRY FREEDOM” & “LEADER OF THE BAND” WRITER: Ian Flynn PENCILER: Tracy Yardley INKER: Terry Austin COLORIST: Matt Herms LETTERER: John Workman (only credited in the second story) ASSISTANT EDITOR: Vincent Lovallo EDITOR/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Paul Kaminski
The surviving Freedom Fighters (Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Rotor) decide to split into two groups, Team Fighters and Team Freedom. Sonic, Tails, and Amy form the first team while Rotor recruits Cream, Big, Heavy, and Bomb for the second team that defends New Mobotropolis. Team Fighters makes short work of Eggman’s attempt to conquer Furville, but Rotor’s unveiling of Team Freedom hits a snag when (unknown to everyone) Cream’s doll causes chaos.
What they got right: I kind of like this concept of two teams. It’s an evolution for the Freedom Fighters and will hopefully give more characters a chance to shine between the two current Sonic titles. Plus we still have the “Secret Freedom Fighters”, which should soon be debuting in Universe. Rotor has also evolved, easily taking charge during a crisis.
What they got wrong: Nothing really in this issue.
Recommendation: This is a great advancement for the series and I want to see where they go from here. Very recommended.

So how long before Mina writes a song about how evil Sally is? Yes, I’m still mad about that.

As you can see Eggman says he did undo about 50% of the “immunity” with the Genesis Wave from #225 which is why Sally is roboticized and when can fixes it the roboticizer it will work again.

I thought the immunity’s elimination was unclear after the first wave? Personally, I blame the missing Chaos Emerald Eggman was using to power the Death Egg 2.
