Helen Slater was the reason I preferred Supergirl over Wonder Woman in the “teenager has a superheroine crush” department, although as an adult that would be rather creepy. But how does the movie fare? Chris Sims and David Uzumeri took time from watching The Avengers probably more times than anyone should to watch Supergirl (part 1 | part 2) and gave their thoughts. Personally it does have quite a few flaws (even if you note the low budget) but for some reason I still enjoy it. Even though I’m too old for the wrong reasons.

Oh, and if you talk to either of them, let them know that unless they’re sticking to the Salklind’s films, they’ve actually forgotten one.
Sure it was later adapted into the series, but it still qualifies. They didn’t do the Batman serials so I won’t bring the Superman ones up. Then again, they didn’t do the West/Ward Batman movie so maybe they are sticking to a certain system.
