I missed this one when it first hit shelves so I had to wait until the LCS found a copy once the back issues went through the system.

Ralph chases off Casey’s father and the two bond. Meanwhile, the other Turtles and Splinter discuss trying to find in and in another flashback we see how Raph was separated from his brothers.

What they got right: It’s not TMNT without Raph and Casey kicking butt. We get more of the origins of the Turtles in this continuity and I think it works pretty well, even if we can guess who’s going to become the Shredder if they don’t decide to pull a fast one.

What they got wrong: When do we learn what became of April and will she still be a part of this continuity?

Recommendation: If you haven’t been exposed to this series, it’s shaping up to be a good series. If you have, give it a look anyway. There is some good writing, although if you’re not happy with the changes IDW is releasing color versions of the classic series.

I would put the entire Raphael/Casey’s dad fight here, but it’s a few pages in length.
