Mega Man #16
Archie Comics (October, 2012)
“Spritus Ex Machina” part 4 “Whatever It Takes” WRITER: Ian Flynn PENCILER: Jonathan Hill INKER: Gary Martin COLORIST: Matt Herms LETTERER: John Workman EDITOR: Paul Kaminski ASSISTANT EDITOR: Vincent Lovallo
Mega Man and the other robots work to rescue the Doctors and other humans, while Zander continues to endanger everyone. (We also see his backstory and his issues with Robot Masters, especially Elec Man.) Meanwhile, Dr. Wily adds Break Man to his completed army.
No format here, because I’d have nothing for “Got Wrong”. This was probably the best Mega Man comic to date for Flynn. I liked watching the robots working together to free everyone, the interaction between personalities and even with Xander, whom I am expecting to see again in the future.
The best way to enjoy this story is by catching the other three in this arc first, but this is a great example of how to do a Mega Man comic. Highly recommended. I couldn’t even choose one moment for “Best Scene”. Whole book is that good.
